Stockholm Waterfront is the common name for the two buildings that house congress activities and a hotel. The office building next door is called the Waterfront Building. All buildings are located at Klarabergsviadukten in central Stockholm. The site was previously home to Klara post terminal. Stockholm Waterfront, view from Söder Mälarstrand, 2019. Here are the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre and Waterfront Building (offices). The architect for the three properties is White arkitekter. Radisson Blu is the operator of both the hotel and congress. The facility was ready for occupancy in January 2011. According to the Stockholm City Planning Office, the location overlooking Riddarfjärden is a historically sensitive part of Stockholm and is of national interest for cultural heritage preservation. Stockholm City Hall is located in the immediate vicinity and this already provoked some criticism during the planning stage from, among others, the Stockholm Beauty Council. In October 2011, the architects responsible for designing the Waterfront's congress section were awarded the Swedish Steel Construction Institute's Silver Bar.
