Thaw waters filled the streets, turning Riga into a mini Venice with sidewalks covered in ice and water, making an evening walk feel like an extreme sport. My Volvo got soaked in the evening fog and refused to start. Just when I thought I was stranded, like a heavenly carriage, the “Pilsētas evakuators“ arrived and took us to a warm garage.
