I recently rented an electric Hyundai Ionic from Avis and had a generally positive experience. The website and app are user-friendly, and I particularly appreciate the flexible cancellation policy. However, there was a bit of confusion at pick-up; both the email and app suggested that I could simply walk to the car and drive away, but this was not the case when I arrived. Despite this, the check-in process itself was smooth and quick. I also faced challenges with the charging process as no instructions were provided, which made my first attempt to charge the vehicle in Gothenburg quite frustrating. Overall, Avis provides a good service, but clearer communication and better support for electric vehicle charging would enhance the experience significantly.
