Flixbus Rome

Personally, not great. Few experiences but frequently late and had a blowout late night. I was lucky to get on next bus that passed by, but many left behind.

DO NOT give drivers cash!! Generally think Flix bus is worth what you pay. But we got a bus from Florence to Rome, it was already over an hour late and when we arrived at the station the drivers on another Flix bus to Rome aggressively told us ours was going to be more than 2 hours late. They said we needed to get onto their bus and pay €10 each which would then be reimbursed by the company. We asked for a receipt which they said they couldn’t give. We were on the bus and asked why we had to pay twice when we already had paid for another ticket. It was a scam, apparently some of the drivers do this scaremongering about the buses not coming to get money. Other experiences have been fine but I think people should know about this.

A great way to get from Rome to Florence. It was easy to make the reservation online, communication by email was very good. The bus was new and beautiful, with a tiny bathroom (bring your own toilet paper). The trip was smooth and pleasant, the price was reasonable and affordable. Very good experience overall 👌
